Kendrick Lamar is the latest musician to land a sneaker endorsement deal. Reebok revealed that Lamar will partner with the global fitness brand when they debuted their new ad campaign centered around the Grammy-nominated rapper titled, “I Am.”
The partnership will involve Lamar designing a capsule collection of sneakers for Reebok’s upcoming fall/winter 2015 collection and helping the brand develop programs designed to help keep kids off the street.
In Reebok’s new black-and-white “I Am” video, directed by acclaimed director Anthony Mandler, Lamar is seen rocking a pair of Reebok Classic Ventilator sneakers while rapping about his beloved hometown of Compton.
The Compton rapper will also be featured in Reebok’s global campaign celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Reebok’s iconic Ventilator shoe, which will hit stores in March 2015. Lamar’s limited edition capsule collection for Reebok, which will include signature Ventilator styles inspired by the artist’s life, style, and personality will be available as of June 2015.
