Converse has debuted a fresh new silhouette dubbed the Converse All Star Modern. The sleek collection of kicks, which includes both Hi and Ox versions of the sneaker, features circular knit uppers and innovative features like a neoprene split tongue and lining, a contoured full-length Phylon outsole, a TPU-fused overlaid toecap and Nike Hyperfuse technology.
“The Converse All Star Modern is a perfect fusion of our sport heritage with modern design,” says Bryan Cioffi, Vice President/Creative Director of Converse Global Footwear. “With this collection, Converse is delivering a comfortable, lightweight product that’s new, exciting and modern, but still feels very Converse.”
The first collection of the All Star Modern will be available in five different colourways: white, action red, soar blue, black and lucid green and will retail from $130 to $140 CAD. The collection of kicks hit shelves on Thursday June 9 and will be available at select retailers across Canada including Foot Locker (247 Yonge Street, Toronto) and internationally at Converse.com.
As an introduction to the collection, the brand is also releasing two different colourways (black and white) of an HTM-designed limited edition high top. The super sleek iteration of the All Star Modern are the first non-Nike shoe designed by the famed creative HTM trio of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker. The monochrome kicks feature a premium goat leather upper, debossed All Star ankle patch and HTM logo on the heel pull tab. The Converse All Star Modern HTM sneaker also drops on Thursday June 9 at NikeLab stores worldwide and via nikelab.com.
