The infamous crocodile got a makeover.
This year, for its annual holiday capsule collection, Lacoste gave Jean-Paul Goude carte blanche to shake things up. And did he ever. The celebrated master creator transformed the brand’s iconic crocodile for a limited edition collection for men and women that’s available in stores now.
Lacoste’s classic crocodile logo could easily be described as understated, but that’s certainly not the case with Goude’s rendition. Goude’s croc is an explosion of colour straight out of his own imaginary world.
The Lacoste by Jean-Paul Goude capsule collection includes polo shirts for men and women in 5 classic colours: white, navy, grey, green and red. A children’s short-sleeved polo is also available in grey and navy. Other pieces embroidered with Goude’s take on the conservative croc in the capsule collection include a tote bag, a clutch and a cotton pique bomber jacket available for both men and women.
Goude’s revamped crocs also appears on Lacoste’s holiday packaging and in various ad campaigns that will run through the holiday season.
