For over 50 years, Italian couture house Bottega Veneta has been renowned for its luxury leather goods with their signature woven design, intrecciato. The easily recognizable status symbol most certainly inspired the brand’s 1970s’ tag line: When your own initials are enough, attracting the fashion elite inclusive of clients like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and the empress Farah Pahlavi.
Since then, the Milanese establishment remains a fan favourite producing stunning men’s and women’s ready-to-wear clothing, accessories, jewellery and fragrances complete with a new collection of six unisex scents called the Parco Palladiano Collection.
The latest in a line up of 10 men’s and women’s fragrances, the Parco Palladian collection was inspired by the Palladian gardens of the Veneto region of Italy where Bottega Veneta was founded. The six fragrances are the liquid embodiment of different flora- and fauna-based moments and experiences found in the garden and are defined by Roman numerals. Flacon I evokes the garden at sunrise, II represents the cypress trees, III is the pear tree’s fall harvest, IV captures the summer azaleas, V captures the aromatic herb gardens and VI revolves around budding roses.
Created in collaboration with perfumers, Michel Almairac, Daniela Andrier and Alexis Dadier Parco, the Palladiano collection represents an agricultural utopia replete with the garden’s flower, woods, spices and fruit trees and is meant to be worn by both men and women equally. And with each glass bottle and its topper embossed in the intrecciato design, Bottega Veneta luxury is now, literally, at your fingertips.
Bottega Veneta Parco Palladiano EDP collection comes in 100 ml for $330 each. It’s available exclusively at Holt Renfrew stores across Canada.
