There’s no doubt about it… A denim jacket is the ultimate fall wardrobe staple.
As the temperature slowly drops, I have been transitioning my wardrobe to light jackets and lots of layers. And, one of my favourites this season is this dark indigo denim trucker jacket from Levi’s. It’s a slim fitting cotton jacket that’s shorter in length and is light enough to be worn as a shirt… but it’s really best when layered up. (Wondering how I style it? Earlier today I instagrammed a snap of me wearing the Trucker jacket paired with a few layers and a wool tie)
This fall Levi’s new “Live in Levi’s” campaign has been taking over the internet celebrating all things denim and encouraging stories from people who literally live in their jeans. You can scroll through any of your various social media networks and check out how others #LiveInLevis by checking out the hashtag or watch one of the Levi’s project’s short films showcasing the experiences of real people (see below).
When you think about it, it is pretty amazing that the Levi’s brand continues to play such a strong role in our fashionable lives. I still remember my first Levi’s Trucker jacket. It was acid wash and I bought it, along with a pair of matching acid wash jeans for my first day of grade 8. I wore those two pieces to death that year. Years later, I have about half a dozen Levi’s trucker jackets hanging in my closet. Fortunately (or unfortunately) none of them are acid wash.
