Justin Bieber is the new face and body of Calvin Klein’s Spring 2015 jean and underwear ad campaigns. The controversial 20-year-old Canadian singer poses alongside Dutch supermodel Lara Stone in this new, sizzling ad-campaign. Bieber and Stone are featured in key jean and underwear styles of the season.
Biebs has transformed from a teen famous known for his hair, to a toned bad boy cladded with tattoos. In 2014 the “Confident” singer made headlines with numerous arrests, as well as making a trip to a Brazilian brothel. Bieber was also named the most tweeted musician of 2014. Calvin Klein’s new campaign is helping Bieber start off 2015 on the right note.
“Calvin Klein is such an iconic brand and I am excited and honored to become a part of the Calvin Klein brand legacy with this campaign. I have been a longtime fan of the brand and have worn their jeans and underwear for a while, so this is kind of a dream come true,” said Bieber. “This is the beginning of an exciting new year for me, personally and professionally, and being a part of this campaign has been a fantastic opportunity and experience.”
Calvin Klein has a history of using actors and musicians to represent their brand. In 2014 alone, those artists included talent such as Taylor Swift, Drake, Sam Smith, Kanye West, Harry Styles, Ciara, Usher, Future, Rita Ora, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Iggy Azalea, Fergie, Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Common, Solange Knowles, Big Sean, and Tinie Tempah.
In October 2014, Nick Jonas became an unofficial Calvin Klein ambassador, dropping trou for Flaunt Magazine, recreating Marky Mark’s iconic 1992 bulge-grab photo. Now for the Spring 2015 underwear and jean campaign, Bieber and Stone have channeled the infamous 1992 Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss.
Fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, are responsible for shooting the brand’s latest, steamy campaign.
