Getting a tattoo is a serious commitment and oftentimes, a spur of the moment decision can lead to regret later down the road. Just because you’re certain of one thing at one specific time, certainly doesn’t mean you’ll be happy with it forever. There are many people that fall into this category, and celebrities are definitely no exception. Chris Nunez and Oliver Peck know this all too well.
The stars of Spike TV’s immensely popular show, Ink Master, have been honing their craft for years now and the tattoo artists have been producing gorgeous and intricate pieces for people across the United States. Their work has attracted special guest stars to appear on the show, including Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman.
It’s safe to assume that with such experience in design, the two masters have pretty high standards when it comes to ink itself. Producers over at GQ picked up on this trait and sat both Nunez and Peck down to hear their hot takes on pieces from Hollywood stars. The two artists got to share their honest opinion on tattoos from notable celebs like Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Lil Wayne and more.
Of course, there couldn’t be a discussion about Hollywood ink without mentioning one of the more high profile designs of the last few years – Mike Tyson’s face piece. Nunez and Peck have no issue with rubbing the former heavyweight champion the wrong way, and call his bit of work “the purest example of you just don’t care anymore”. They did have praise for the simplicity and beauty of some particular designs, including one on Angelina Jolie.
