He just couldn’t stay away from the camera. After a brief three-year hiatus from television, legendary comedian, David Letterman, is officially back and bigger than ever. The former Late Show host emerged from hibernation earlier this week and made some serious noise with the announcement of a brand new Netflix project. Aptly titled, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, the fresh talk show will launch later this month and it’s already promising high profile guests in the world of politics and entertainment. Both the streaming giant and its latest megastar are keeping things relatively quiet for now, but we do know that My Next Guest will be limited to a monthly event.
Despite this limited run, every episode is shaping up to be an absolute banger. Letterman’s first show will be bolstered with an appearance by former President Barack Obama, who will sit down for an uninterrupted and extended interview. Along with 44, My Next Guest will welcome a bevy of talent this season. Confirmed guests include JAY-Z, Howard Stern, Tina Fey, and Malala Yousafzai. And for those that love the live energy of Letterman’s previous late night shows, rest knowing My Next Guest is filmed in front of a live studio audience.
You can check out the trailer below via YouTube. My Next Guest Needs No Introduction will premiere on Netflix next Friday.
