Former Glee star Mark Salling was found dead near the Los Angeles River on Tuesday, TMZ has reported. According to the site, it appears to be a suicide.
Salling, 35, who plead guilty to possession of child pornography just last month was best-known for his role on Glee as Noah “Puck” Puckerman, which he held from 2009-2015.
Salling was scheduled to be sentenced in March for having over 25,000 images and hundreds of videos of child porn on his computers and flash drives. As part of his plea deal, he was facing between 4-7 years behind bars, as opposed to the potential maximum of 20. He also had to pay $50,000 to each victim requesting payment—a condition that could potentially have cost him millions.
Salling reportedly slit his wrists in August of last year, about a month and a half before his plea bargain. He survived and was put in rehab for psychological issues, according to TMZ.
