Watch Paul McCartney Answer the Most-Searched Questions About Himself

Above: Sir Paul sits down with Wired for a video interview

It sure is a great time to be a Paul McCartney fan. The legendary singer-songwriter is in the middle of a press run this month supporting his seventeenth solo album, Egypt Station. Throughout the last few weeks, we’ve been lucky enough to get a hefty dose of content from the Beatles icon, including some buzzworthy long-form interviews with Howard SternNME, and a now infamous piece with GQ in which he talks about *clears throat* doing some stuff with former bandmate John Lennon.

Perhaps the fun most fun stop in the tour, however, has been a care-free visit to Wired’s headquarters where Macca revealed some of the internet’s most burning questions. Dubbed the “autocomplete interview”, the light format allows McCartney to delve into some amazing stories about his career, and sheds new light on rumours about rivalries, escapades, and his upbringing in Liverpool.

In 15 entertaining minutes, Sir Paul speaks about his early days in the Beatles, when he visited the king of rock, Elvis, and how he wrote some of his biggest tunes. You can watch the full clip below via Wired’s YouTube channel. You can also stream Egypt Station now on all major digital platforms including Spotify and Apple Music.

I am a 68 yr. old woman who watched you on the Ed Sullivan show bac in 64. What did you think of us teenyboppers (13/14 yr.)old screaming, crying and fainting at your performances. Did you really think anybody was listening to your music and appreciating your performances?
