We don’t know about you, but the warmer weather always makes us think of patio season, backyard picnics and a round of pickleball. Moreover, warmer weather means it’s tequila cocktail season in our books. Over the past few summers, we have opted for a tequila cocktail for their smooth flavour and refreshing taste. Here’s a few of our favourite cocktail recipes:
ROSA RANCH WATER
Ranch water was the go-to tequila cocktail for the summer of 2023. Simply put, ranch water is a Texas-born tequila highball cocktail made with lime and Topo Chico! This drink is all about cooling off on hot days. And for summer 2024, we have an update with Rosa Tequila. This update calls for three classic ingredients, of course, – tequila, lemon juice, and Topo Chico – but adds in some orange liqueur. The complex orange liqueur, bright lemon, and smooth Código 1530 Rosa work together to create a subtle, citrusy flavor while the Topo Chico adds a lightness and a hint of fizz. You and your guests will love it.
Recipe:
- 2 parts Código 1530 Rosa Tequila
- 1 part fresh lemon juice
- 1 part orange liqueur
- Topo Chico or Soda Water
- lime wedge to garnish
Instructions:
1. Fill a Collins or highball glass with ice.
2. Add Código, lemon juice, and orange liqueur to your prepared glass. Top off with Topo Chico and stir. Garnish with a wedge or twist of lime.
3. Enjoy.
CUCUMBER MINT MARGARITA
Every home bartender should have a go to margarita recipe that is easy to make and delicious. Moreover, we think that signature margarita shouldn’t be the classic version, your friends have all had those many times over. So why not add a cucumber mint margarita into your repertoire. The delightful kick of tequila mixed with the mellow cucumber and mint make this a go-to summer staple in the cocktail rotation.
