Kanye West has teamed up with French fashion brand A.P.C to create capsule collection of menswear.
A.P.C. confirmed the long-rumoured partnership yesterday with a simple tweet that read: “A.P.C. KANYE CAPSULE COLLECTION JULY 14.” The undeniably hip brand also posted a sneak peek of a pair of blue jeans inscribed with a red “A.P.C. KANYE” label. West later hit Twitter to thank the brand’s founder: “Thank you Jean Touitou for letting me create with you”.
The French ready-to-wear brand was founded in 1987 and is known for its understated branding and minimalist design – a perfect house for the rapper’s style.
Of course, West is no stranger to the fashion world: He’s collaborated with Louis Vuitton in the past and has dabbled in womenswear with his own on-again/off-again label. Plus, there were the highly coveted Nike Air Yeezy kicks, versions 1 and 2.
The Kanye capsule collection for A.P.C. will feature jeans, T-shirts and hoodies that will hit stores and apc.fr starting at 10:00am on Sunday July 14th (Bastille Day).
