Boston Red Sox win first World Series at Fenway Park since 1918, David Ortiz named MVP

The Boston Red Sox won the 2013 World Series, beating the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 in Game 6. It’s the thrid that the team has won the World Series champions in the past decade. Of course, the win comes just one year after finishing in last place and two years after a historic collapse in September.

It’s the third time Boston fans have been their baseball team win a title in the last 10 years, but the first time they’ve clinched it at home since 1918, when their pitching staff included the legendary Babe Ruth.
