Do you ever wonder what happened to Home Alone’s Kevin McCallister? Well, now you can find out. Macaulay Culkin is back playing the role that made him famous in the premiere episode of the new web series :DRYVRS.
Inspired by ride-sharing services like Uber, :DRYVRS is a new YouTube series that follows creator (and Moldy Peaches guitarist) Jack Dishel as he meets and interacts with bizarre drivers through a ride-sharing app. In “Just Me in the House by Myself,” Culkin’s highly irritated character picks up Dishel, and it slowly becomes clear that we’re watching a grown-up version of that adorable kid who was abandoned by his family on Christmas.
Culkin unloads about his childhood trauma of being left home alone over the holidays at age 8, forced to defend himself against a pair of robbers. Then the fun begins.
