After Indochino‘s much-hyped ‘Traveling Tailor’ pop-up shop earlier this year in Toronto, the online menswear shop has some exciting news for GTA gents. The leader in online, custom menswear is returning to the city to put down some roots and is opening the doors to their Toronto showroom on Friday August 1st.
The flagship showroom is the first in a series of planned store openings for the Vancouver-based online retailer. Not really a coincidence, considering the summer Toronto pop-up event proved to be the brand’s most successful to date. (Previous pop-up shops have opened in New York, Ottawa, ) “We owe it to Toronto to launch the next stage of our adventure in the city,” says Kyle Vucko, Indochino’s CEO and co-founder. “It’s been one of our best markets right from the start, we have a loyal customer base, plus our pop-up event earlier this year was our most successful ever.”
Indochino’s world of custom suits revolves around a determination to offer high-quality, made-to-measure suits that are actually affordable for the average guy. Any customer with online access can simply enter their measurements and design a suit from a seemingly limitless combination of customizable options. After choosing the colour of your lining, the lapel width, pocket style and adding in a little monogramming, the bespoke garment is created and then mailed out in just a couple of weeks. Suits start at $449 and shirts from $79, with accessories also available for purchase.
Of course, the opening of Indochino’s first brick and mortar store coincides with the launch of their fall 2014 collection, which will be exclusively displayed in Toronto. The Indochino showroom in Toronto opens its doors at 425 King Street West on Friday August 1st. Appointments are required (and you can make them here).
Time to make an appointment and suit up, no?
