The soccer phenom has spent the last twelve months absolutely dominating play on the pitch, which is something he has done for more than a decade. Football’s golden boy is no stranger to success, but these past twelve months have been extraordinarily special and are highlighted with a long list of accolades.
Along with guiding his national and Real Madrid squads to European and Champions League titles respectively, the striker has also taken home the Ballon d’Or, UEFA Best Player, and the FIFA Club World Cup trophies. It’s an impressive list of accolades in just a single year, and each has helped to solidify Ronaldo’s undeniable legacy. With all of this considered, it’s safe to say that the 32-year-old has truly established himself as one of our generation’s most remarkable talents.
If you happen to follow the beautiful game, however, you should know that Ronaldo is not one to be content with past accomplishments. Barely a week removed from his last highlight, and the captain has already put another notch in his belt. Earlier today, video game developer, EA Sports, announced to the world that Cristiano will grace the cover of FIFA 18. The highly anticipated title is due out in the fall, and will come complete with a special “Ronaldo Edition” that will be outfitted with undisclosed features.
Details regarding the title itself are being kept secret, but fans of the series were luck enough to receive an electric gameplay trailer. A short clip was uploaded to EA Sports’ YouTube channel, and utilizes detailed in-game footage. If the teaser is any indication, the graphics have been elevated to brand new levels.
