Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared some pretty big news on Wednesday afternoon. The Rock revealed that Forbes has named him the highest paid actor in the world in 2016, 15 years after he landed his first big role in The Mummy Returns.
Looks like giving up on that pro wrestling career was the right call.
The Rock ranked 19th on Forbes’ list of the top 100 highest-paid celebrities over the last 12 months with an income of $64.5 million, and that number should rise with the upcoming release of Disney’s Moana and four other major movies that are scheduled for release in 2017.
Other celebs topping Forbes annual list? Taylor Swift, One Direction, Dr. Phil, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin Hart and LeBron James.
