Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has lashed out at ‘Gangam Style’ singer Psy, calling the South Korean popstar “the herpes of music.”
Armstrong made the comments via his Instagram account, posting a psychedelic picture of Psy with the caption: “This dude is the herpes of music. Once you think it’s gone, it comes back. #herpes #flareup #pleasegoaway”. Armstrong is known for speaking his mind, but has never used Instagram to comment on other musicians.
Psy remained completely unfazed by the rocker’s comments in an interview with Fuse, the singer first asked what herpes was and then brushed off the insult, saying: “I kinda like it, it’s cool. He said I’m like the herpes… that keeps coming back. I think it’s really cool. Thank you.”
