It’s time to suit up! If you happen to be nostalgic for great 90s franchises (and honestly, who isn’t these days), you’re in some major luck. Thanks to Sony and Columbia pictures, audiences around the world will soon be thrusted back into the crazy world of alien policing via a brand new Men in Black movie.
Aptly titled Men in Black: International, the sci-fi action comedy will revisit the eponymous series that first started back in 1997. The main difference with this upcoming addition to the saga, is that it’ll focus on a set of new characters and not the original cast — the OGs were Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as Agent J and Agent K respectively.
For this fresh spin-off, we’ll be introduced to two new faces in the form of Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) and Tessa Thompson (Westworld). Those concerned about on-screen chemistry can rest well knowing that these two are no strangers to each other either, both having starred in the critically acclaimed and highly successful Marvel vehicle Thor: Ragnarok.
Men in Black: International will centre around these new recruits as they navigate through their highly covert faction of the secret service. It looks like this version of the franchise will focus on the London branch of MIB, which will be helmed by none other than Liam Neeson. You can watch the debut trailer below via Twitter. Expect Men in Black: International to hit theatres June 14, 2019.
