Finally!
On Friday morning, House of Cards released an ominous teaser to reveal the show’s season 5 premiere date. With a simple post on Twitter, the Netflix drama revealed that the Washington, D.C. drama will return on Tuesday, May 30.
In the short clip, an upside down American flag is seen hanging in front of the Capitol Building flapping in the wind as a chilling children’s chorus recites the Pledge of Allegiance.

The line is a recall of the quote from the season 4 finale, when president Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) said, “We don’t submit to terror. We make the terror.” And then his wife, Claire (Robin Wright), broke the fourth wall for the first time.
Season 5 of House of Cards also stars Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Neve Campbell, Derek Cecil and Paul Sparks.
Set your calendar reminders… Season 5 of House of Cards begins streaming on Netflix on Tuesday, May 30.
