Iconic rock ‘n roll band Motley Crue are calling it quits after more than three decades together. The ’80s rock icons — Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee — announced their retirement at a press conference Tuesday in Hollywood.
The heavy metal band also announced plans to head out on tour one last time, playing 72 concerts before retiring. Alice Cooper will serve as the opener for the tour. Tickets will go on sale Friday.
Fans can expect to hear the catalogue of their chart- topping hits. And… don’t count on another Motley Crue reunion tour down the road — according to TMZ, the band has collectively agreed never to use the name “Motley Crue” ever again after this tour. This is really it.
