After the debut of an incredible new trailer and a slew of unconfirmed rumours, it’s safe to say that Star Wars fever is in full effect lately. Now only six months away, fans of the beloved sci-fi universe are getting properly amped for the release of The Last Jedi. Of course, everything about the year’s biggest movie is being kept tightly under wraps, but this week, we’re blessed with a behind-the-scenes look at some awesome set production.
The exclusive sneak peek comes from a very lucky Vanity Fair team, who profiled the flick for their special summer edition. It may be excruciatingly brief, but it’s enough to make us lose our minds in anticipation. In the feature, we receive quick snaps of characters like Finn, Poe, Rey, Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren, and the late great Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia.
The Vanity Fair piece was shot by photographer extraordinaire, Annie Leibovitz, who producers joked was the film’s “first audience”. Vanity Fair also sat down with the cast of The Last Jedi, who shared some little tidbits about the story and beyond. Plus, the clip gives us a close look at the whole squad’s new costumes which anyone will know points to potential plot points.
Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, let everyone know that this upcoming adventure will be different than anything we’ve ever seen. We’re not too sure what that means for us when the film hits screens this December, but it’s hopefully an omen of good things to come. Fans will be able to get their hands on the Star Wars inspired publication at select stores on June 1st, with a wider release available five days later. In the meantime, go ahead and gawk at the video below via YouTube.
