Is it October yet? Fans of the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, are surely asking this question after catching a brand new and incredibly cryptic teaser trailer. The show’s streaming network released the short clip online earlier today and promptly set social media on fire. A stormy sky was the eerie backdrop for thirty seconds of footage that has left everyone drooling and forum-lurkers theorizing.
Ever since it’s epic finale last summer, we’ve been counting down the days until its highly anticipated second season debut. Given that almost everything about Stranger Things was a home run right out of the gate, The Duffer Brothers certainly have their work cut out for them. Thankfully, judging from the brief glimpses we’ve received, it appears as though everything about the wonderfully unique show is is about to be leveled up.
According to an official synopsis, it looks like the heroes of Hawkins will have to face yet another otherworldly force. ”Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived,” reads the production notes. We aren’t entirely sure what that means, but for now we can continue to assume it’ll give way for some exciting new adventures.
