Basketball is still a few months away, but with all of the wheeling and dealing by NBA general managers, it’s hard for us to not get incredibly excited about this upcoming season. If you happen to follow the game, you already know that some big name players have switched allegiances including new Raptor, Kawhi Leonard, fresh Golden State centre, Demarcus Cousins, and of course, the king LeBron James.
That’s right, 23 himself will be suiting up for the Los Angeles Lakers this October but we actually don’t have to wait long to see him in action. Thanks to a brand new trailer from NBA 2K19, we can watch Bron do his thing virtually on the Staples Center court. Sure, it might not be the real thing, but we’re in a basketball drought period right now so please don’t judge us.
Aside from the pseudo-debut of LeBron James, NBA 2K19 is shaping up to be another solid entry in the ongoing and immensely popular video game series. We’ll have to wait until the release day to get a full scope of the new features, but the aforementioned gameplay trailer gives us a good look at the graphic motions and overall mechanics.
The NBA 2K19 Standard Edition will hit stores on September 11, while the 20th Anniversary Edition arrives on September 7. The game will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC so if you’re a hooper, there’s no excuse to pre-order it now. In the meantime, watch the exciting clip below via 2K’s YouTube account.
