Anyone who has finished watching all of season one of Stranger Things on Netflix knows that there is more story to be told. So, in a move that should surprise absolutely no one, Netflix has officially renewed Stranger Things for a second season. The renewal was slyly confirmed by the mysterious YouTube clip below.
AmongMen theory: There are nine titles in the recently released teaser… Could they be the episode titles for the upcoming season?
Variety reports that the Duffer Brothers will be back as writers and co-showrunners on the second season batch of the smash hit series. They will also executive produce the Netflix original sci-fi throwback alongside season one vets Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
The creators say that the main cast will return (except, perhaps, Eleven), that four new characters will join the cast, and that parts of the second season will take place outside of the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. And the trailer indicates the story will pick up in in the near future from the previous season: the fall of 1984.
Season two of Stranger Things will feature nine episodes and is set to premiere sometime in 2017.
