We’re now just a few weeks away from brand new episodes of Stranger Things. The hotly anticipated second season will premiere on Netflix on October 27, and according to reports, we’ll finally get some resolution regarding the fate of one Barb Holland. Along with justice for Barb, viewers will also be thrust back into the intense, nostalgia evoking world of Hawkins, Indiana, which is once again afflicted with malevolent supernatural forces.
With the show’s entire cast returning for this upcoming season, one can only assume that the band will get back together to take the evil spirits head on. It won’t just be Chief Jim Hopper and the ragtag team of kids either, as this new run of episodes will introduce fans to new characters including Bob Newby, played by Sean Astin. Paul Reiser will also enter the fold as Owens, a Department of Energy executive who is sent by the government to deal with the fallout of last season’s adventures.
We know, reading all of this only gets you more excited about the 27th, but before you go crazy waiting this long, there is some great news. Netflix recently paired up with game developers at BonusXP and the two are now releasing a neat 8-bit video game for mobile owners. Aptly titled, Stranger Things: The Game, the app will take players on a journey through Hawkins to solve a bunch of interesting puzzles. You can also challenge friends’ high score and collect Eggo waffles in the process. The game also allows users to perform tricks on a bicycle as one of the playable kids. Stranger Things: The Game is available for iOS and Android.
