Most gamers over the age of 25 or 30 will fondly remember the Super NES, or Super Nintendo Entertainment System. This early console, which was first released in 1990, is widely regarded as one of the best and is remembered lovingly for classic games like Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi’s Island, Star Fox, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World, Kirby Super Star and Super Metroid, which collectively helped introduce some of Nintendo’s most popular characters to the world.
Well, here’s some good news for anybody who becomes overrun with nostalgia at the thought of playing the Super NES. The days of hunting these ancient consoles down on EBay and Kijiji are over. On September 29, a revamped version of the Super NES called the Super NES Classic Edition will be released to the public.
This console will launch at a retail price of 79.99 USD, and will come with the following 21 classic games pre-installed, per TechCrunch.

Like the revamped NES Classic edition, which has sold 1.5 million copies since its launch, this console will allow players to enjoy the games listed above in HD, over HDMI. It will also come with two classic, wired controllers for a totally authentic experience.
