We shouldn’t have to remind you that Super Bowl LI was one of the most incredible sporting events of 2016. The New England Patriots’ dramatic comeback captivated audiences worldwide and solidified the legacy of star quarterback, Tom Brady. It was a nail-biting, stress-inducing, all around unforgettable moment and one that NFL fans will likely never forget. At this point, it’s pretty safe to assume that Super Bowl LI gamechanger, Tom Brady, is all but confirmed to be a Hall of Fame inductee.
The 39-year-old vet has been the face of the NFL for years now, and has rocketed to fame through seasons of dedication and All Star-level play. Despite his undeniable success, however, the Pats QB has yet to appear on a single cover of the widely successful Madden video game series. His contribution to the game isn’t sullied due to this omission, but now his omnipresence within the league will be immortalized inside game consoles everywhere.
Tom Brady will indeed grace cover of Madden 18, and judging by an epic first trailer, the quarterback’s storied career will factor into narrative gameplay. You can watch the footage below courtesy of YouTube, and expect the game when it lands on shelves this August. In the ramp up to the official teaser, Tom Brady took to Facebook to answer some fan questions. “The Madden NFL 18 cover is a great honor for me, especially since I have been playing the game since growing up next to EA headquarters in the Bay Area,” Brady told press this week. “I’m not one to believe in curses, so I’m ready to take the challenge head on like always! It doesn’t stand a chance!”
