Strap in and pull out your denim jacket because the boss is back. After an incredibly successful run, Bruce Springsteen is bringing his acclaimed Broadway show to the small screen.
The legendary songwriter has partnered with Netflix to present a recorded version of his recent endeavour, aptly titled Springsteen on Broadway. Arriving on the streaming service next month, the musical special will drop following his final live performance of the piece at the Walter Kerr Theatre.
The Netflix event will cap off an incredible run for the musician, who will have completed five shows a week since October 2017. If you weren’t lucky enough to catch the show on Broadway this past year, it appears as though the forthcoming Netflix offering will do it some true justice.
The video giant released a trailer this week and it showcases the meat and bones of the show, highlighting stories and songs right from the main stage. Viewers will embark on an emotional deep dive into Bruce’s storied past, inspiration behind his greatest hits, and personal anecdotes from his childhood in New Jersey.
You can watch the trailer below via Netflix’s YouTube channel. Springsteen on Broadway will be available to stream on Sunday, December 16.
