Some skincare product names are awesome. Like Versed’s Antioxidant Cleanser “The Purist.” It’s sounds like a Marvel Comics character such as Iron Man or Captain America that we imagine would be complete with a caption that reads: one of earth’s mightiest heroes, The Purist fights dirt and grime in a single wash. And to be totally honest, if this were to go down in RL, this descriptor wouldn’t be off the mark.
Vegan and free of artificial colour and fragrance, The Purist does battle impurities away from and off your face. Its dermatologist-tested, effective and gentle formula has been crafted for all skin types too, in particular aging, dry, dull and problematic skin, to be used daily both in the mornings and at nighttime. A carefully chosen blend of superfruit antioxidants derived from blueberry, raspberry, apple and cucumber extracts is infused to nourish and condition your epidermis. Aloe leaf juice soothes, balances and hydrates, and pro vitamin B5 works hard to calm your skin and help it to retain moisture. All combined, The Purist does good work.
But that’s not all. Its blue plastic bottle and pump have been made with 35 per cent PCR (post consumer recycled) plastic. This means that a third of the bottle incorporates recycled plastic that has been specifically broken down to be reused for other skincare products. Or as we believe it would be phrased for Marvel lingo: after The Purist vanquishes evil, it gives back to Earth, so that we can have healthy skin for yet another day.
