COMME des GARÇONS is looking to lace us with some fresh new kicks this spring… and judging from early looks, we’re in for something loud and unique. The popular Japanese fashion house is once again teaming up with American athletic giant, Nike, to deliver a bold pair of sneakers that are sure to turn some heads, and we mean that in the best way possible.
Thanks to a recent visual leak from Instagram account, Outfit Myth, CDG fans are in for a steady dose of velcro vibes. The forthcoming and yet to be named silhouette features prominent straps that boast COMME des GARÇONS lettering over solid leather toe boxes. The black crep itself is somewhat reminiscent of other iconic Nike shoes like the Cortez or the low cut Air Force 1.
Fans of both brands will recall that the two have had a fruitful creative partnership for a while now. A few years ago, the pair debuted a slick take on the VaporMax, and more recently, have been upping their game by delivering a run of Nike-owned Converse Chuck Taylors. Meanwhile, there is no set date for these hot and wild CDG items, but you can get a quick look at the prototype model below.
