Self-described as sunny and hedonistic, French couture house Azzaro is radiating its renowned and seductive touch of glamour, again. And no, we’re not referencing the Studio 54-esque clothing its design duo Arnaud Maillard and Alvaro Castejon had walking down the Fall/Winter runway in Paris. Nor are we reminiscing about the line’s namesake and founder, the late Tunisian born, French-Italian designer, Loris Azzaro who is said to have enjoyed nothing more than sunning by the Mediterranean.
We’re talking about the brand’s latest men’s fragrance: Chrome Intense EDT.
Sultry and fresh with a warm heady vibe, bottle number nine in this same-named fragrant line-up is a sun-kissed version of the original 1996 eau de toilette. And while less aromatic and more woody than the first edition, Intense remains true to its roots.
Loyal to its past is an elixir of tart, tangy citrus; sweet, watery floral; and warm, musky woody notes—the cologne’s DNA. They’re mixed into a fresh, divine blend that’s one part ocean, another part liquefied heat. Naturally, they combine to create the brand’s signature and captivating blue colour and are captured in the eau’s traditional, rectangular-shaped, clear glass flask, topped with a silver cap.
Azzaro, Chrome Intense EDT fragrance comes in 100 ml for $93. It’s available at Hudson’s Bay stores across Canada.
