This month? We try out Atelier Cologne Lemon Island Cologne Absolue Pure Perfume
With over a decade of fragrance success and nearly 50 bottles of unique blends to their name, Atelier Cologne founders Sylvie Ganter and Christophe Cervasel know what it takes to create the perfect scent. Their latest creation, Lemon Island Cologne Absolue with its bright, fresh and salty vibe is proof of that.
Inspired by the Indian Ocean complete with its hidden island of Rodrigues, this new scent is energizing, sunny and aquatic.
The cologne opens with a crisp, tart and salty squeeze straight from the island’s home-grown lemons, while lush and heady Indian jasmine blooms are added to the mix giving the eau depth and sensual appeal. Last but certainly not least, an infusion of Madagascar vanilla completes the scent, acting like a warm ray of sunshine that makes you feel like you’ve spent an idyllic day in the surf and on the sand. With an overall effect that is vibrant and compelling, Lemon Island transports its wearers’ senses to what can only be described as an island paradise.
This feel-good sensation is also carried over to the actual island itself. By partnering with the Grasse-based, family-owned fragrance house Mane, Atelier Cologne has developed a local sourcing and extraction chain to support and give back to the local Rodrigues Island economy. The fair trade approach now employs more than 260 local lemon growers, ensuring longevity and sustainability of the perfume’s key ingredient. And with just one spritz from the heavy glass cylinder, a fragrant joie de vivre can be shared.
