Two years new on the fragrant scene, the European brand has quickly become internationally renowned for its unique and aromatic blends. This elixir, Storie Veneziane Rosso I, validates the Switzerland brand’s high standard. Fresh, tart and aromatic on first spritz, the fragrance heats up with an exotic spiciness before settling into a heady, earthy finish—all courtesy of notes of pink berry, rose, oud and wood. The overall effect is one part striking and sharp, another exciting and warm and a final part sensual and grounded.
Given the perfume’s namesake attachment to Venice and the sea-soaked city’s history of art complete with perfume making, it’s only fitting the eau is captured in heavy Murano glass. Curved and square shaped, the glass features an inverted gold ombre touch giving it a classic, yet modern appeal. Storie Veneziane is stamped into the flacon’s front and across the top of the bottle’s coral leather wrapped cap, while a second flash of coral colour is repeated in the flacon’s fine, Italian leather encasement. A final touch of artistry is the gold embossed masked face delicately imprinted onto the precisely stitched sheath.
