This month? We try out The Body Shop Full Ylang Ylang EDP…
Who says real men can’t wear flowers. Not The Body Shop. Their new Full Ylang Ylang unisex eau de parfum is the ideal bouquet for even the most masculine men.
Spicy and sensual, the white flower-infused scent is inspired by the rich, blooming and multi-faceted composition of the entire ylang ylang fleur. Crafted by using the plant in its entirety, the elixir is made of the soft petals, the green leaves, the woody stems, the juice and the sweet resin. The eau opens with notes of the spicy ylang ylang flower itself, hand-picked on the island of Madagascar, before being absorbed into a pool of hot and definitive black pepper. Smooth vanilla notes round out the olfactory experience, adding a warm and intimate vibe. The overall effect is sleek and heady, passionate and exotic, comforting and welcoming.
The yellow juice is captured in a heavy flacon made from recycled glass with rounded edges at the top. The cap, designed for sustainability, is crafted from naturally renewable wood and cork, providing an everyday man’s aesthetic. And it’s all made with 90 per cent ingredients of natural origin and certified by The Vegan Society. It’s long lasting too, both the fragrance and its bottle because when you’ve spritzed your last drop you can toss it into the green bin without a second thought.
The Body Shop Full Ylang Ylang EDP, $56 for 75 ml, available at The Body Shop stores and online at www.thebodyshop.com.
