Chunky dad shoes may still be the hypebeast’s primary sneaker of choice, but despite the trend, Adidas NMDs still flies off store shelves. This is partly due to the silhouette’s undeniable comfort level, but more so about its ties to brand ambassador and ageless wonder, Pharrell Williams.
The musician and creative visionary has been collaborating with Adidas since 2014 and the joint venture has proven to be a runaway success. Now four years deep into the partnership, the two have caught a real stride with capsules and sneaker designs, and rather than delving into uncharted waters, the pair are revisiting one of their most popular efforts for a slick little remix.
Thanks to some cheeky internet sleuths, we’re now getting our first look at the latest edition of Pharrell and Adidas’ Hu NMD crep. It looks like fans in China will be able to cop the first pairs too, as reports indicate that this’ll be an exclusive retail drop for the Asian market. Of course, given the shoe’s popularity, you should expect to see them end up on online retailers and resell outlets in the near future.
The shoe itself is equipped with a dark green upper, yellow heel tag, and white and red signature Hu laces. You can take a peek at them below via Instagram user, yankee. In related news, revisit Adidas’ soccer-inspired Predator here.
