When Karl Lagerfeld isn’t too busy developing his very own line of hotels and restaurants, the 83-year-old legend spends his time collaborating with exciting brands and labels. The German designer may be associated with boutique fashion houses, but Lagerfeld is branching out once again- this time by linking up with skatewear giant, Vans. The special capsule will be launching at the beginning of September and will feature both special edition footwear and clothing pieces.
According to WWD, the team up will result in a bunch of slick new updates on classic Vans sneakers. WWD’s Katya Foreman reports that “[It] will include the Sk8-Hi laceless platform and Old Skool laceless styles outfitted in leather with the quilted letter-shaped detail atop white platform soles”. Along with these offerings, there will also be a “solid black leather Classic Slip-On — also with the quilted letter K”.
As for the limited run of apparel, customers can expect shirts with Lagerfeld’s notorious silhouette adorned with a checkered tie. Additional pieces will include a raglan bomber and a fresh-looking backpack. All of these and more will drop at select stores around the world on September 7.
