Social media sets the tone for style these days and thanks to a new survey, we know exactly which fashion brands are the most popular on Twitter and Instagram.
Marketing platform Insightpool reviewed social media profiles over a three-month period from January to April of this year, analyzing Twitter and Instagram.
According to WWD: “Brands were ranked by: being tagged as fashion influencer; its percentage of Twitter and Instagram conversations on fashion and related keywords; its audience engagement within the fashion category; and a three-month weighted average that was applied to its scores and metrics.”
The #1 fashion brand? Paris-based luxury brand Chanel. Swiftly followed by French luxury brand Louis Vuitton in second place.
American designer Christian Siriano came in at number three, a little more surprising as Siriano has a relatively small following of 645k compared to Chanel’s staggering 20.7m.
But it’s not all about luxury fashion on social media, as more affordable brands like as H&M, Nike and Forever 21 also make an appearance in the top 10. You can take a look at the full list below:
