There’s no shortage of brand collaborations and capsule collections that have dropped in recent years. But one brand is bringing things to the next level with a stamp of approval from one of the most influential figures in streetwear. Allbirds, known for its best-selling wool sneakers, has partnered with streetwear legend Jeff Staple to release a revamped version of the brands first-ever running shoe, the Tree Dasher.
Staple’s reimagined Tree Dasher ($200) literally turns the uppers inside-out to expose the materials and construction of the sneaker. The move is meant to highlight exactly what goes into making Allbirds performance shoe from nature.
Staples was inspired by Allbirds’ unusual materials and carbon accountability and the sneaker prominently features its Carbon Footprint, which serves both as a design element and brings attention to the brands carbon storytelling. And, like all of Staple’s collaborations the sneakers feature the iconic Staple Pigeon.
In addition to the inside out Tree Dasher, the Allbirds x Staple collab will also include the Staple Sock ($20), the streetwear aficionado’s take on Allbirds’s classic Trino™ Tuber Socks.
Both pieces from the limited-edition Allbirds x Staple collaboration are available this morning at www.allbirds.ca.
