If you’ve ever looked longingly at the racks of comfy women’s sundresses and rompers and wished there was a male equivalent to get you through the dog days of summer, you might be in luck. ACED Design has officially surpassed their Kickstarter goal of $10,000 to start production on a romper for men—AKA the RompHim.
According to their Kickstarter bio, ACED Design is “a group of business school friends who decided to try to bring something new to menswear”. The campaign was launched on May 15th and it has already secured close to $150,000 in funding—that must mean there are a lot of guys out there who would love to add a RompHim to their summer fashion arsenal.
The Original RompHimTM comes in four designs: blue chambray, red chambray, splatter print cotton, and a special edition 4th of July seersucker. If you pledge $95 or more to the campaign, you’ll get one Original RompHimTM in your choice of size and style. Judging by the success of the campaign so far, you might want to put in your order soon—you’ll want to get your RompHim in time to wear for a few events this summer.
From backyard barbecues and evenings on the patio to day-long music festivals and an afternoon at the beach, the RompHim is the perfect alternative to your typical T-shirt and shorts. Each garment comes with a front shirt pocket, adjustable waist, zippered back pocket, zipper fly and deep front pockets—all for your convenience. You could even coordinate with your girlfriend and wear your rompers on the same day. The Instagram captions just write themselves.
If you’re not convinced the RompHim will fit into your particular style aesthetic, check out the video below. If that doesn’t convince you, nothing will.
