Penis Size Matters, According To New Study

A new study, conducted by the Australian National University and published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences has concluded that women find men with bigger penises more attractive.

“We found that flaccid penis size had a significant influence on male attractiveness,” wrote the researchers, led by Dr. Brian S. Mautz, in the study that was published on Monday. “Males with a larger penis were rated as being relatively more attractive.”

Researchers showed a group of 105 heterosexual women images of naked men, and determined that penis size is a predictor of male attractiveness. Of course, the study tried to mask its intent by introducing three variations on male appearance: body shape (shoulder-to-hip ratio), height and penis size. The participating females then rated the figures’ sexual attractiveness. The females were critical judges, making decisions on a figure’s attractiveness in about three seconds and even more quickly when seeing less attractive figures.

In a nutshell, the findings showed that the women preferred taller men with broader shoulders and narrow hips while noting that penis size did influence a man’s sex appeal. In fact, it was just as important as height, which is a well-known factor in male attractiveness.

The study also pointed out that larger penises are ideal but were much more attractive on taller men than shorter men. “To put it bluntly, if you are short and pear-shaped, a large penis is not going to increase your attractiveness,” Dr Mautz said.
