Interesting Fact: Davis is a natural born athlete. She was a tennis champion on the Caribbean national tennis team and competed on the Caribbean tennis circuit growing up. She was also on the Virgin Islands national volleyball team.
Why We Love Her: I know what you’re probably thinking, yet another model to be praised for how attractive they are. I get it, though. It reaches a point where you just become immune to yet another variation of “hot” and another perfect specimen that you will never be able to date. While you may be right, and Hannah Davis is probably just the “meat of the moment”, I just couldn’t resist with this one.
So who is Hannah Davis?
Well, if you’re a baseball fan then you may know she’s the current girlfriend of ex-Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter. He apparently ended his highly publicized relationship with Minka Kelly right before starting a relationship with Davis back in 2012. So she’s managed to tie down one of America’s most eligible bachelors and notorious serial daters…at least for now.
If you’ve browsed a magazine rack at a convenience store in the past three months you should know that she’s the cover model on the 2015 SI Swimsuit edition. Her cover photo also gained some criticism because people found the photo to be “too risky” as it appeared she was pulling her swimsuit bottoms too low. The backlash was met with Davis and SI saying that the magazine has always tried to do something new and sexy with every cover photo and push the boundaries, and this photo is no different to their consistent philosophy.
She is an island girl. Born and raised in Saint Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Davis grew up in paradise, and sure looks like she came from there. If paradise were to give birth to a human being, it would most definitely be Hannah Davis. Aw hell, she probably even smells like coconuts.
She’s a born athlete. She grew up a tennis star on the Caribbean national tennis team. During her summers going through school, she would tour the US playing in tournaments all across the country. She played all the way into the starting of her modeling career, juggling the two until she finally had to choose one or the other. As much as we’d love to see her on the tennis circuit, we’re all happy with the direction she chose.
Is it a coincidence that her rise to model fame happened during the time she’s dated one of the most famous baseball players on the planet? Perhaps, but all you need to do is take one look at her to know, this is no fluke. And for Derek Jeter, his career may be over, but he sure saved his best trophy for retirement.
