Why we love her: Kate Upton. Kate Upton. Kate Upton! Her name has been absolutely everywhere as of late. I’d even say we’re way late to the Kate Upton party, considering she’s been blasted across tabloids, magazine covers, and Internet sites for a few years now. But she’s our Woman Crush Wednesday this week, and not just because she has a starring role in a big movie coming out. And not just because she went viral in a 2011 video of her doing the dougie hip-hop dance at a Los Angeles Clippers Game (even though that was news headline worthy). But she’s our crush this week because she’s hot enough to put turn any confident man into a sputtering mess, not to mention, she’s exactly the way god made her, O-Natural baby!
She was born in Michigan, but grew up in Melbourne, Florida. It was there where she became a very accomplished equestrian rider during her younger years, winning five different championships. At one point she was even competing for a spot as one of the top 20 equestrian riders in the nation. Now that just shows she’s much more than a pretty face who earns their keep being ridiculously, ridiculously good looking, right? Then she got her big start in 2008 when she went to a casting call in Miami for Elite Model Management, who she signed with that same day. Soon after she moved to New York and signed with IMG Models. Now the rest is history and she’s been doing nothing but flaring young girls with jealously as well as making boys and men all around the globe feel a little too excited than they know how to handle.
Now Kate Upton’s resume is very extensive, having been featured on the cover of various magazines such as Sports Illustrated, GQ, Esquire, Vanity Fair, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan. She’s also been taking her success as a model right into the craft of acting (like most models before her) and can next be seen in the movie The Other Woman, starring alongside Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann, where she’ll play that similar younger, hot temptress that Brooklyn Decker brilliantly portrayed (jokes) in Just Go With It.
