Name: Sophia Bush
Birthdate: July 8, 1982
Birthplace: Pasadena, California
Claim to fame: Bush is likely most known to major audiences for her role as Brooke Davis on the CW TV series One Tree Hill, which aired from 2003-2012.
What we can see her in next: She has been starring as detective Erin Lindsay in the NBC police procedural drama Chicago P.D. since 2014 — Season 3 is set to premiere on September 30.
Interesting fact: Bush’s ex-boyfriend, Google project manager Dan Fredinburg, died in April 2015 after he sustained a head injury in an avalanche at Mount Everest’s South Base Camp triggered by the April 2015 Nepal earthquake.
Best quote: “Life is too short, and I’m Italian. I’d much rather eat pasta and drink wine than be a size 0.”
“I don’t think you can really, truly be the partner you want to be until you know on an absolute level that you are a complete person on your own.”
Why we love her: Brooke Davis was the bee’s knees on One Tree Hill. She was the hottest girl in high school. The head cheerleader. The prom queen. The heartbreaker. The student council president. The girl you were afraid to talk to because her sheer attractiveness was so intimidating and you were sure she’d end up being an awful person, but then you actually get to know them and they turn out to be just as nice and cool as they are attractive.
This was what Sophia Bush was on TV for a lot of people throughout the run of the hit series. Not only did the show gain her massive throngs of male followers, but it also showed that she is a fantastically talented actress, completely charismatic and captivating on the screen.
But where did she go?
Since One Tree Hill ended I haven’t heard anything about Sophia Bush. No headlines, no juicy gossip, and no breakout feature film role. Which is surprising considering how good she was on the show and how talented of an actress she clearly is. She seemed like the perfect candidate to make the successful transition from the silver screen to the big screen. At the very least, star in some D-list romantic comedies that would allow her to show of her tremendous likeability in a larger forum.
Then I saw on Instagram of all places, she’s now starring as detective Erin Lindsey on the NBC procedural police drama Chicago P.D.
Even though it’s not big time movies, it’s still good to see that Sophia Bush is crushing it in the arena she does best, television.
All I know is I’m going to start watching Chicago P.D. when Season 3 premieres on September 30, and strictly for one reason. I’d advise you all do the same. Sophia Bush is worth it.
